Interior Design Trends 2023
As experts predict, interior design in 2023 will undergo small but noticeable changes. The previous two years were difficult for the whole world, but now we are getting used to the new normality. And this is reflected in everything, including design. Here are the trends waiting for us this year. The first notable feature is the development of soft minimalism. By itself, minimalism was already popular in the 20s of our century and retains its position until now. The refusal of overconsumption is still in trend. A good tone frees up space from unnecessary things and organizes a simple and understandable storage system. However, now minimalism is beginning to change. It becomes softer and more delicate – designers focus primarily on comfort and only then on refusing overconsumption.
In 2023, the feeling of comfort is precious. Therefore, soft and warm muted colors are used in the design. Another essential feature is the abundance of natural, pleasant-to-the-touch materials. — Galiullin Kamil
Intelligent solutions are another trend that gained popularity in 2022 and moved into 2023. Modern technologies are no longer a luxury. They are becoming more accessible every day – and designers cannot miss the opportunity to improve the interior with the help of gadgets. Light sensors, microclimate control systems, intelligent water temperature control, etc. Now, this is an integral part of the design project today. Moreover, devices are no longer masked; on the contrary, their presence in the interior is deliberately emphasized: gadgets are not a way to maintain comfort but an essential decorative element. The desire for coziness and comfort also manifests in another trend – vintage. This style takes us to the past when we felt calm and safe. Deep but not flashy colors, natural materials, and abundant art. It looked great in the last century and is still relevant in 2023. The advantage of vintage is that high-tech gadgets fit into such an interior without any problems. Of course, you must choose devices carefully: only some temperature sensors or humidifiers will find their place in a vintage interior. However, with the right approach, you can create an incredibly stylish and comfortable interior that will be relevant for many years.
